Texas has long had the tagline, “It’s like a whole other country.” The problem was, nobody ever did anything with it (except those gun-toting extremists who actually tried to make Texas a whole other country). Our goal was to finally bring their tagline to life and portray Texas as more than just another state with more than just another state ad campaign.
We asked locals and visitors alike to post their favorite things to do and help inspire others planning a trip to Texas. View the #TEXASTODO GALLERY.
We also created a series of #TexasToDo videos, featuring "Texperts" on a variety of subjects, showing us their favorite activities in the state. View #TEXASTODO FILMS.
In addition to traditional media, we supported #TexasToDo with a traveling #TexasToDo truck, offering on-site screen printing of t-shirts designed by Texas artists.
We gave people the opportunity to explore their own cities like a true Texas cowboy would – on horseback. Using the Uber app on their smartphones, people selected UberHorse and were promptly sent a horse instead of a car to ride to their destinations.
We created an experiential exhibit with interactive kiosks in the shape of our Texas Passport. People could play games, create digital postcards and explore the Lone Star State.
